“Technopolis GS” in the Kaliningrad region has begun encapsulating Russian microcontrollers “Amur” — 100,000 units have already been produced, and by the end of the year, there will be 520,000.
The private innovative cluster “Technopolis GS” in Gusev has started encapsulating domestic microcontrollers “Amur,” which are used for smart devices. According to the acting governor of the Kaliningrad region, Alexei Besprozvannykh, the demand for these microcontrollers is enormous. The cluster owners plan to encapsulate about 520,000 units by the end of the year; currently, 100,000 smart devices are already equipped with domestic microcontrollers.
The enterprise is actively investing in import substitution. On the territory of the cluster in Gusev, a full cycle of contract electronics production is ensured: products go through all stages — from the chip to the packaging of the finished product. At the same time, the enterprise supports its employees: houses have been built for them and their families, and the areas around the cluster have been landscaped.
