On May 15, a session of Rossotrudnichestvo “The Islamic World and the Development of Sister City Relations: What’s Next?” will be held in Kazan. The event will take place within the framework of the XV International Economic Forum “Russia — Islamic World: KazanForum.” Participants of the discussion will discuss how Russian regions are developing the socio-economic sphere through international contacts, what prospects await sister city relations, and what role education plays in the development of sister city relations. The speakers will include Deputy Minister of Economic Development of Russia Dmitry Volvach, Deputy Scientific Director of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences Vasily Kuznetsov, Head of the Spiritual Assembly of Muslims of Russia Albina Krganov, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, and other experts. The moderator will be the head of Rossotrudnichestvo Yevgeny Primakov.
