Participants from the Slovak association "Brother for Brother" timed a five-day motorcycle rally, "The Land of Our Heroes", to Victory Day over fascism, traveling through regions in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The event kicked off on May 1st in the Czech Republic, with the finish planned for May 5th in Slovakia, reports RIA "Novosti". The motorcyclists plan to make stops in eighteen localities across the two countries, where wreath-laying ceremonies will be held in honor of fallen heroes. The organizers noted that the event aims to preserve the memory of the soldiers who perished in the battles for the liberation of the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Motorcycle tours of historic sites in Slovakia and the Czech Republic, related to the liberation of these countries from the Nazis, are held annually. Flowers, wreaths, and flags of the Czech Republic, Slovakia, the USSR, and Russia are laid at monuments as a reminder of the joint struggle of the peoples of these countries against the Nazis.
