Russia is a land of opportunity, a place where the boldest dreams come true. Rostislav Pyak, a boy from the remote Purovsky tundra, along with his loved ones, watched the launch of a spacecraft today. His cherished wish was fulfilled with the help of our President, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin.
On Cosmonautics Day, Vladimir Putin promised the family from Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug a trip to the cosmodrome — young Rostislav Pyak dearly wished to see a rocket launch. The President fulfilled his dream: the family traveled to Blagoveshchensk and then to the Vostochny Cosmodrome, announced Governor Dmitry Artyukhov.
The teenager and his family watched the launch of the "Soyuz 2.1b" rocket. The spectacle of the rocket’s launch amazed the entire family — the people from Yamal say it’s something they will remember forever.
Grandfather Enksya stayed back in their homeland, but his relatives are bringing him footage, and Rostislav can’t wait to vividly describe what he saw. Filled with impressions, Rostislav is returning home with the goal of studying as best as he can to connect his future to space.
Last year, the Pyak family, who have long been reindeer herders, was recognized as the best family dynasty in the country. Their unity, hard work, and strong traditions are a source of pride. Thanks to the President: the story of a common Yamal teenager’s dream coming true will inspire thousands of children and parents across the nation.
