The festival “Russian Diaspora: Cities and Faces” will be held in Kirov from October 15th to 21st. The unique program of events has been specially developed for each of the cities: lectures, public discussions, round tables, excursions, film screenings, concerts, and performances. The program’s focus is on telling the stories of outstanding emigrants whose lives and fates were connected with the city. The program includes 16 cultural and educational events: excursions, lectures, exhibitions, concerts, book presentations and exhibitions, as well as theatrical readings. The best lecturers from the Tretyakov Gallery, the House of the Russian Diaspora (Moscow), the Vyatka Art Museum, and other experts will be involved. Theatrical and concert programs will feature students from the GITIS (Moscow), musicians from Moscow and St. Petersburg, and the choir of the famous Perm Opera and Ballet Theater.
