A medical robotic complex for evacuating the wounded from the SVO area will soon be tested in the combat zone and launched into mass production, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense's Telegram channel.
Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu ordered the rapid provision of this technical transportation means to medics following his inspection of the new terrestrial medical robotic complex for evacuating the wounded. “The machine is eagerly awaited. It should head to the unit in the coming days and start operating. There is nothing more valuable than human life. We need to ensure the evacuation of the wounded from the front line today. We must do this as safely and quickly as possible. It needs to be tested on the front and put into series production immediately,” stated the Russian Defense Minister. He emphasized that as many robotic evacuators as possible are needed.
In various regions of Russia, specialists are involved in creating devices that facilitate the movement of the wounded to hospitals as quickly as possible.
In the spring of 2024, craftsmen in Orel, at the request of medics providing front-line support, manufactured a foldable mobile device for evacuating the wounded. At the end of 2023, domestic manufacturers developed and sent to the SVO zone new means of transporting the wounded: "TETE" electric stretchers, which can travel up to 10 km without recharging, and "Katet" trolleys with adjustable width. Last year, the Faculty of Aircraft at NGTU developed a foldable surgical table for field hospitals, which does not depend on electricity or hydraulics.
