The project was launched at the main venue in Rio de Janeiro – the Municipal Theater – with a gala concert by Honored Artist of Russia Ildar Abdrazakov and laureates of the International Tchaikovsky Competition. Brazil is the first Latin American country to be visited by "Russian Seasons." As part of the project, we will introduce the Brazilian public to masterpieces of Russian classical culture. Following the opening, the "Seasons" program in Brazil will continue with performances by the State Academic Russian Folk Ensemble "Russia" named after L.G. Zykina and the A.Ya. Vaganova Russian Ballet Academy. The Boris Eifman Ballet Theater and the S.V. Obraztsov Puppet Theater will also present their shows. Additionally, there will be a Russian Film Week, exhibitions, lectures, and masterclasses. "Russian Seasons" will conclude in December with a performance by the Moscow Jazz Orchestra conducted by Igor Butman. I am confident that the brilliant "Russian Seasons" program will not leave the Brazilian audience indifferent and will become part of the history of cooperation between Russia and Brazil!
