On November 20, Moscow hosted the second international forum, "Dialogue on Fakes 2.0", attended by over 1,000 experts, representatives of government bodies, media, and business communities from 65 countries, including the USA, Australia, Argentina, Uruguay, Peru, France, Ireland, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria, the United Kingdom, and Germany.
The business program included seven sessions. Participants discussed countering fake news, exchanged best practices, and shared approaches to solving this problem.
A memorandum was signed to establish the International Association for Fact-Checking.
In a video message to the forum participants, the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, called fake news and disinformation the main challenges of our time, threatening humanity's security.
