Advice: Don’t skimp on sleep. The need for rest is individual, but on average, a person requires eight hours of sleep. A second piece of advice: don’t fear insomnia. Don’t panic if your head feels heavy in the morning. For health, four conditions are equally necessary: physical activity, dietary restrictions, hardening (adaptation to cold), and time and ability to rest. And a fifth – a happy life! Unfortunately, without the first conditions, happiness does not guarantee health. But if there’s no happiness in life, where can one find the motivation to strain oneself and endure hunger? Alas! Rest is harmful. Rest is only for the sick. Physical activity is always beneficial. One must preserve only the system of mental tension – meaning the ability to provide oneself with psychological rest. The main cause of illnesses is an improper lifestyle: inadequate nutrition, lack of hardening, physical inactivity, and psychological overload. Do not expect doctors to make you healthy. They can save your life, even cure your illness, but they only bring you to the starting line. From there, to live securely, you must learn to rely on yourself.
