From July 20 to July 28, Moscow will host a festival of Latin American and Caribbean culture. The event will be a landmark in the development of cultural dialogue between Russia and the countries of the region, with which Russia has established close multi-faceted trade, economic, scientific, technical, and cultural ties. Muscovites will have the opportunity to learn more about the traditions and customs of Latin American countries. Visitors will enjoy performances by artists with hits of Latin American music, bachata, salsa, and tango master classes, as well as creative workshops where everyone can learn to make a piñata, dreamcatcher, and Cuban beads. The festival will also feature the opening of gastronomic pavilions with traditional national dishes. The central venue for the festival events will be the Hermitage Garden. The official opening will take place on July 20 at 1:00 PM on the Main Stage. Representatives of the Moscow Government and ambassadors of Latin American countries will participate in the opening ceremony. The festival aims to develop international humanitarian cooperation with the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean and to create a positive image of the Russian capital as a center of creative life. The project is being implemented with the support and assistance of the Moscow Department of External Economic and International Relations, the Moscow Center for International Cooperation, the embassies of Latin American and Caribbean countries, and others.
