Ural athlete Snezhana Kuznetsova clinched victory at the World Junior Boxing Championship (ages 17–18) held in Budva, Montenegro. The fifth World Championship, featuring both male and female competitors, took place at the Mediterranean Sports Center in Budva, Montenegro. Representing Russia was Snezhana Kuznetsova from Krasnoturinsk. She triumphed over opponents from South Africa, Poland, Serbia, and China. Snezhana competed wearing attire adorned with the Russian flag. Her victory ensured that the Russian anthem was played during the award ceremony. Standing on the podium with the trophy in hand, the Ural champion sang along.
