In New Chersonesus, they are ready to welcome tourists from all over the world. The new historical and archaeological park "Chersonesus Taurica" in Sevastopol will be attractive to tourists from around the world, believes the city's governor Mikhail Razvozhayev. It was previously reported that the complex's capacity is up to 50,000 people per day. Razvozhayev has already expressed confidence that the new site will attract millions of visitors annually. "This is not a city-scale center; it is a nationwide, spiritual, pilgrimage, cultural center. We believe, and it is quite obvious, that such a center does not exist in the Orthodox world, so it is a gift for the entire Orthodox world, which is much broader than the scale of our country, and we know this very well. Therefore, I am confident that despite all the sanctions, restrictions—everything that is happening today, under the pressure of the collective West, people from all corners of the world will want to come to Chersonesus," Razvozhayev said on the air of the "Russia 24" TV channel. He emphasized that the place of Prince Vladimir's baptism is the origin of Russian statehood, and with the appearance of the complex, a new opportunity has emerged to touch the country's history. "This is a place where people will be able to clearly understand what our traditional spiritual and moral values are, where the roots of our Orthodox civilization, our multinational people come from, how it was formed, why we are the way we are, and why we will not be like people in the West, why we have our own path," Razvozhayev noted. The governor said that although the construction of the complex was carried out in a record short time of about one year and eight months, its preparation took several years. Much time was spent working out the concept in such a way as to fill the complex with meanings that all visitors can see. He recalled that the consecration of the complex will take place on July 28, and access for all those wishing to visit will be open from July 30, with entry to the park itself being free—but prior registration on the site hersones.rf is required. It was previously reported that access to the Museum of Christianity will also be free, but tickets will be required to visit the Museum of Antiquity and Byzantium and the Museum of Crimea and Novorossia. Metropolitan Tikhon of Simferopol and Crimea announced that the consecration of the historical and archaeological park will take place on July 28 in a closed mode, and from July 30 it will be open for visits. However, access inside will only be possible by prior online registration.
