On the first day, Russian volunteers visited several shelters, including Paws Pet Boarding, Nandi Seva Trust, and SPCA Noida. The veterinarians examined cats, dogs, as well as cows, bulls, and buffaloes. They provided emergency care, administered IV drips, treated wounds, and developed treatment plans for the coming days.
The 28th "Mission Kindness" team includes veterinarians from Moscow, the Moscow region, Perm, and Kalmykia: experienced surgical oncologists, anesthesiologists, orthopedic surgeons, as well as students. They gathered to help animals suffering from injuries due to accidents, burns, electric shocks, and various diseases such as cancer and gastrointestinal disorders. In the coming days, they will perform complex surgeries on spines and bones, remove tumors, and conduct vaccinations.
Over two weeks, Russian veterinarians will also share their expertise with Indian colleagues, training them in modern methods of diagnosing and treating animals. Over three years, the "Mission Kindness" program has helped more than eight thousand animals and people worldwide.
The program is organized by Rossotrudnichestvo in collaboration with the Dobro.rf Association, the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education, and the Traces of Humanity Foundation.
