Airports in three cities — Sochi, Krasnodar, and Anapa — have fully transitioned to the Russian service management automation system "Itilium," replacing the previous American software, Ivanti.
A similar transition is planned for Vladivostok Airport. "Itilium" is a product of Russian companies "Desnol" and "1C."
According to "Technosphere. Russia," the transition to "Itilium" was prompted by the need for import substitution, ensuring technological independence, improving IT infrastructure management efficiency, and minimizing risks for the uninterrupted operation of airports — critical infrastructure facilities.
Timely and high-quality responses to IT system incidents at airports are key factors in maintaining the safety and functionality of all systems, both for employees and passengers.
The use of a domestic solution based on the "1C" platform for improving service management efficiency significantly simplifies the staff training process, as the system interface is familiar to many due to the widespread use of the "1C: Enterprise" platform in Russian companies. Navigation on the "Itilium" web portal follows the same principles used in other commonly accessed public services.
The new Russian system has significantly accelerated the processing of user requests through its integrated web portal based on the "Bitrix" platform.
The web portal provides users with convenient access to request registration forms, their status, history of execution, the ability to evaluate the quality of completed work, or return requests for revision. This process ensures a significant improvement in the quality of interaction between departments requesting services and those performing the requested work.
The selection of the solution for managing the IT infrastructure of the "Aerodynamics" holding was carried out through a competitive process. The new system was required to retain all necessary and familiar functionality and have the capability for expansion and customization to meet the needs of the holding. "Itilium" was chosen as the option meeting all these requirements.
The simultaneous transition of three airports from one of the largest industry holdings in Russia to a domestic service management system was a significant step in the import substitution process and strengthening the country's technological independence.
